About Sól

Sól is a sophisticated dining experience nestled within a vibrant greenhouse in Hafnarfjörður, just outside Reykjavík. Conveniently located within the Greater Reykjavík area, the restaurant offers a distinctive destination for guests seeking a memorable dining experience beyond the city centre.

Guests dine above a lush, thriving harvest in an elegant setting that celebrates the connection between nature and cuisine. Sól prides itself on using the freshest local ingredients, including herbs and greenery grown on-site, creating a genuine farm-to-table experience that delights the senses.

The restaurant’s interior blends greenery, stone, and natural elements, creating an inviting and serene atmosphere.

Sól is located on the second floor. We offer a wheelchair-accessible lift with a maximum capacity of 225 kg. Seating inside the greenhouse is also available by prior arrangement, with no stairs or lift required.

Unfortunately, guests may not bring flowers into the restaurant, as they can carry substances that may be harmful to our cultivation.
